Audio Samples

We have many types of samples available, mixed and unmixed, available from this and other websites, streamable and downloadable, some identified by their song title and others by their arrangement.

Audio Types

Hearthis.at is a great website to access our samples
iTunes Podcasts are another way to access some of these audio samples.

Audio samples are also available using Apple’s iTunes Podcasts.

Unmixed and Mixed

Alive Drumming hosts both a set of sample unmixed Song Rhythm Tracks and also a user-contributed mixes user group at HearThisAt, the audio hosting service which provides great user and social facilities.  Please contribute your own mixes to the Song Rhythm Tracks User Group at HearThisAt.

We have samples of

1/ Mixed:     Showcase Tracks – These are multi-instrument performances where the mix includes  Song Rhythm Tracks.

Below are audio file (.mp3) samples of both of these.

Audio Codec Formats

Alive Drumming Distribution Format:      All the Alive Drumming audio files below are supplied as 256 Mbps, MP3 audio files.

Various User Formats:           Those from artists are usually supplied as MP3s.

We also have some samples presented as YouTube videos.  These videos show the App during playback.  That’s not as engaging as most music videos but it allows a musician’s view of the App while playing along to Song Rhythm Tracks.  If this is your intended use for the App, it might interest you. These videos are at the bottom of this page.

Streaming and Downloadable

The bulk of the samples below can either be

  1. Streamed,        to quickly listen to as much as you want before moving on, or else,
  2. Downloaded,   so that you can retain the track and use it in your mix in the same way you can all Alive Drumming’s tracks acquired via the App.

Identifying Arrangements – Based on Song Form or Matching Popular Song

  1. Matching Popular Song title  – This is used on the YouTube videos, and
  2. Song Form Arrangement         – This is used on many of the audio files

Every arrangement can be used by more than a single song, so generally, this distinction is artificial.

Problems with this Page?

Below the files are either encoded in  .mp3 (MPEG 3) or  .M4a (MPEG 4 audio) formats. The browser’s embedded play button may not work due to incompatibility between file formats and browser / operating system platform.  However, the download link should always work.  See this page for more technical information and selecting a compatible browser for HTML5 embedded audio.

Song Rhythm Tracks are best selected, managed and played using our dedicated mobile apps.  The tracks below represent the quality of our audio but not the vast variety of rhythms and musical forms.    Each of these tracks will fit any song that shares the same song form.
