Perhaps the easiest way to appreciate our breadth of rhythm is to try one of the sampler apps and use the app’s rhythm selection. Whenever you select a new rhythm to use you will hear a 3-second preview. There are over 3,700 of these previews currently but the app helps with its categoristion.
You can select from the 60 different distinct rhythm categories, which includes about 250 distinct rhythm types.
